Rice Pudding

RICE PUDDING 

Ingredients:

2 Quarts milk

1 Quart water

2 Cups rice

2 Cups sugar

3 eggs

1 Tablespoon vanilla

Cinnamon

Raisins – Optional … but why ???

Preparation:

In a large pot place milk and water and bring to a boil. Add the rice, and cook until almost done. Add the eggs, sugar, and vanilla and blend into the rice mixture. Toss in the raisins…

Scoop into a greased 9 x 13 pan and bake on 350 degrees for10 minutes.

Sprinkle cinnamon on top and refrigerate for several hours and serve.

 

Mom used to make this in a large glass bowl. It was her go to recipe that would serve us all and our friends that stopped by.
