Onion Swiss Bread
Ingredients:
3 t water
3/4 C milk
1 1/2 t butter
1 1/2 t sugar
6 scallions – chopped fine
1 C shredded swiss cheese (packed)
1 1/2 t salt
3 C bread flour
2 1/4 t yeast
Directions:
Put liquid in a bread machine first.
Add dry ingredients.
Add yeast last.
Push dough button.
Remove when blended and after first rise.
Create rolls or shape into a bread.
I like to make 3 strips and braid it.
Let rise for 30 minutes.
Bake on 350 degrees for 30 minutes for bread
20 minutes for rolls.
These are a bread favorite for our St. Patrick’s Day parties.
Serve warm with Irish Butter and Potato Leek Soup.
