Cocoa Cake

Ingredients:

1 3/4 C flour
2 C sugar
3/4 C cocoa
1 1/2 t baking soda
1 1/2 t baking powder
1 t salt

1 C milk
1/2 C oil
2 t vanilla
1 C boiling water
2 eggs


Directions:

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix.

Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla and beat 2 minutes.

Slowly stir in boiling water and blend.

Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until done.

Let cool completely and frost with your favorite frosting.

Test for done by inserting a knife into the center and if comes out clean its done!

 
I found this recipe on the back of a cocoa can years ago. It has been the birthday cake recipe for most birthdays and other special dinners or celebrations.
